Perhaps I love drawing and painting because there is freedom and peace. I can set the mood and inter-play between the real world and the unreal. I can create whatever I like, it's my world.

Location: Georgia

One word that best describes your style: Expressionism

1. What does a typical day in your life look like?

This is one usual day with an unusual mood. I get up and plan my day. Most mornings, I go straight to my studio and start working.

2. What does your studio look like?

My studio is a calm space. There are many paintings and all these make it an ideal working environment for me. It’s impossible to be there and not paint.

3. Tell us one unique thing about you / your art.

There is a process that accompanies the creation of my artwork: Revolve around the idea, allow opinions to merge, ways of thinking, the connection between thoughts, and finally place it on form and on canvas.

4. What do you love most about being an artist?

Perhaps I love drawing and painting because there is freedom and peace. I can set the mood and inter-play between the real world and the unreal. I can create whatever I like, it's my world.

5. Which is your favorite art piece so far and what is the story behind it? Butcher by Iosebi Kumsiashvili My favourite piece is "butcher” from the Identity series, where the main idea is that people can at times really act like animals, emphasizing the animal’s nature. In many cases, people behave like animals, because they often act upon instinct and not from the mind.

6. What are 3 things you can’t live without in a day?

Love, art and travelling.

7. Where do you get inspiration when you need it most?

I get inspiration from the society and community around me, and this includes both positive as well as negative emotions.

8. What does success look like to you?

In my opinion, success is when you reach your aim, to be a leader, independent, free from everyone and of course to be a professional in your work.
