Aparna Patil- “Painting is my passion. I love colours and like to explore the beauty inherent in everyday life and everyday objects. I generally take a realistic approach, but also experiment with Impressionism and abstract styles. I believe that Art is beautiful in any form, and its purpose is to give pleasure to your soul! “

She was born in India, and has lived in Singapore for over 11 years. She is a homemaker, mother to twin daughters, and holder of a Master's Degree in Biology.
Following a long break to meet her family responsibilities, she resumed her painting pursuits 2 years ago.

She generally takes a realistic approach in painting and also experiments with Impressionism and abstract styles. She works with oil, acrylics, and Chinese Ink etc as well.

She has won several awards at School, College and National level. One of her paintings has been published in “Smaranika”, the magazine of Maharashtra Mandal Singapore. Recently, she has created a banner for display at this year’s Chingay Parade.

She has exhibited in many art exhibitions and events in Singapore. Her artworks are to be found in private collections in the UK, USA, India and Singapore.
