I was born on October of 1952 in Manila, Philippines. Studied traditional Chinese painting and Lingnan style of painting, a contemporary school of Chinese painting, under Chinese masters during my free time in the late 1960's to early 1970's. I participated in group shows and art competitions. After college, I gave up painting for quite some time, but the ember of my passion for the arts still remained. In 2009, my love for painting was rekindled. A year after, I was teaching Chinese painting at Confucius Institute at the Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City, Fully Booked in Taguig City and at Maximillan Gallery in Quezon City. My style of painting is influenced by both the traditional and Lingnan school of painting. The impressionistic interpretation of my artistic concept to capture a subject's essence is a blend of the better characteristics and art techniques of both school of painting. Subjects of my painting are usually, but not limited to, flora & fauna and landscapes.
