Guineviere graduated from Lasalle College of the Arts. From her own experiences, Guineviere explores and highlights on social-cultural identities from everyday practices to global-political issues. Her interests, research and studio practices extend from prints to drawings and installation pieces. In recent works, she looks into the term ‘culture of waste’, particularly in food wastage and the transformation of consumer goods. Despite her education in other artistic expressions, her background is in Printmaking. Explaining, “it is a constant struggle for me to create a 'perfect' print and an accomplishment to overcome difficulties along the way. I revel in looking at the final outcome of the print, as I would never know how the image would look like until placed under a printing press or silkscreen.” Awkwardly, Guineviere enjoys cutting and combining drawings with prints because it does not allow her to be confined to a white rectangular box and beyond what the school has taught. It allows her to not create an edition but an original print as she continues to try to push the boundaries between what is considered a good print, originality and the usefulness of editions.
