United States of America
Hailing from Missouri, I received a BFA in studio art at the University of Dayton, OH. When I decided it was time for an MFA, I relocated to the city to attend the New York Academy of Art in TriBeCa. I now live in Brooklyn, painting full time.
My paintings exist in an over-lap of nostalgia and social media. They explore how the photograph functions as cultural memory. Through a re-realization of technical narrative, I deconstruct familiarity and meaning to better understand their consequences.
