United States of America
Stephanie grew up in England and went over to the United States at the age of 18. The emotions provoked by her English upbringing still influence her artwork to this day.
She graduated from university with a BA in graphic design and fine art, and then worked for ten years as a graphic designer and art director. All that time she kept her fine art contained in the world of realism. It wasn’t until the early 2000’s that she moved into abstract art. Her movement was inspired by curiosity from experiencing art exhibits all over the world, that inspired her to let go of the minute detail of realism, and move into the emotional freedom of abstract art.
Stephanie invests in the creation of a piece of art to convey what she has inside: her thinking, her emotions, her life, her essence and her soul. It is also a way she can reach her own desires and essential demands out of life.
For her it is important to create what she feels. Her abstract art is an extension of herself. Full of passion and emotion: happy, sad, angry, calm, all these play a part in her creative process. The sights running through her head create the desire to paint in a more expressive form.
Some of the places she show her work are at Raven’s Wish Art Gallery and Greco Art Gallery in Wisconsin, Studio 26 Gallery in New York, VAM Art Gallery in New Jersey, and Nina Torres Fine Art Gallery in Florida.
She has exhibited twice at the Hedburg Library and Galleria, Janesville, WI, the Janesville Performing Arts Center, Swayam Art Gallery, Dharam, Nepal, The Galerie Art Eterne, New Delhi, India, the Third Avenue Playhouse, Sturgeon Bay, WI, plus numerous times with the See.Me organization, in New York and Miami.
